Keynote Speaker for 2013: Michael Hingson
Michael Hingson is a New York Times best-selling author and international lecturer. Michael, blind since birth, survived the 9/11 attacks with the help of his guide dog Roselle. Hingson does much more than simply tell his own 9-11 story; he continuously explores the broader lessons of his life and experiences while inspiring and motivating audiences.
Michael is an authority on Assistive Technology and an advocate for empowering people with varying abilities. He teaches organizations how to move from a corporate culture of “diversity” to “inclusion” which draws upon our strengths rather than our differences.
Michael and his wife Karen live in the San Francisco Bay Area with his guide dog, Africa and her mother, Fantasia.
